World Music
NVLA’s secondary goal is to give students the opportunity to develop their talents in Music and the Arts. All students participate in Winter and Spring Benefit concerts to support others less fortunate at home and around the world, and provide scholarship funds for NVLA grads. The Annual International Festival is a culminating activity involving our school and great Bay Area community in giving students a window to the world through music, food, history, culture and International guest volunteers.
Heartstrings
Beginning in Kinder, all students have a weekly group violin lesson. In the upper grades, students may choose to continue with violin, or switch to cello or a band instrument.
